In June, we announce the winner of our 2026 Green Schools Trophy, celebrating schools that have shown outstanding commitment to environmental action.

The trophy will be presented before the end of the summer term, recognising the efforts of pupils and teachers alike.

This initiative helps protect and enhance the countryside by empowering young people to care for their environment. By celebrating their achievements, we inspire future generations to take pride in sustainability, conservation, and community action.

CPRE Staffordshire runs an annual Green Schools award scheme. All Staffordshire schools are invited to showcase their conservation and environmental projects for a chance to win and hold the CPRE Green Schools’ Trophy for a year.

We look for inspiring projects that contribute to the protection, conservation or improvement of the local environment. This could be through cutting down on single-use plastics, practical conservation work, creating wildlife habitats, promoting energy-saving or waste reduction/recycling, green transport schemes or any other original idea your school may come up with.

The Green Schools Trophy competition opens in 2026. Come back soon for details on how to enter.
