Lightwood Community Group name CPRE Staffordshire as their 2026 Charity Partner.

Since 2014, the Lightwood Community Group has stood at the heart of local action. Formed to protect Greenbelt land from inappropriate development and driven by a shared commitment to safeguarding the character of our community.

Working hand-in-hand with CPRE Staffordshire, the group has successfully challenged planning proposals while building something even stronger: a connected, proactive, and proud local community. From Community Speed Watch initiatives and close collaboration with local police and councillors, to much-loved events like the Summer Family Funday and Christmas celebrations, Lightwood Community Group bring people together while raising vital funds for local charities.

Today, that mission continues. With increasing pressure from Local Plan proposals, including land at Lightwood identified within a Mineral Safeguarded Area, they remain at the forefront of protecting our Greenbelt for future generations.

To mark this ongoing partnership and celebrate CPRE’s 100-year legacy, we are proud to announce CPRE Staffordshire as Lightwood Community Group’s Charity Partner for 2026.

Dave Evans, Chair of Lightwood Community group said:

“Their unwavering support has helped shape our journey. Now, we’re championing theirs.”

Join us. Support CPRE Staffordshire. Protect what matters.
