Announcing our 2026 events!
2026 is a milestone year for CPRE Staffordshire, celebrating 90 years of standing up for our countryside, and so we are planning a variety of exciting events to mark to occasion.
Over the next 12 months we are planning 12 events, each one designed to gather like-minded individuals who want to show their support for the countryside in Staffordshire. Our events aim to be accessible, and inclusive to all ages and audiences, engaging everyone in the importance of Protecting, Promoting and Enhancing the unique Staffordshire countryside.

January
This January we are planning ahead for planting in 2027. In 2023/24 we successfully planted 2km of hedgerow, we will be revisiting some of these sites to see it’s impact on the local nature. Read more on our previous planting here.
February
In February we’ll be looking up, focusing on the importance of Dark Skies.
March
This March we will be organising a Countryside Poetry event, brining communities together to celebrate National Poetry Day by showcasing our love of the countryside through the spoken word.
April
In April we will be taking to the streets for litter picking, working to keep our communities clean and tidy.
May
To celebrate Staffordshire Day we will be hosting accessible walks for those with visual impairment. This will be an afternoon of quiet celebration, providing opportunities for everyone to access the countryside and appreciate Staffordshire’s green spaces.
June
In June we will be announcing our 2026 Green School’s Trophy winner, ready to present the trophy before the end of the summer term.
August
This August entries will open for our 2026 Countryside On Camera competition. Have a picture of Staffordshire’s countryside? Submit it for a chance to see it in our 2027 calendar!
September
This September we will be celebrating Countryside Day and hosting our 90th AGM, this will be a day of true celebration for all of our members, supporters and volunteers who make our work possible and share our passion for protecting and enhancing Staffordshire’s countryside.
We will also attend the Best Kept Village and Community Awards for what will be an inspiring celebration of Staffordshire’s communities.
October
In October we will announce our Countryside on Camera competition winners while preparing and producing our 2027 calendars with the winning images!
November
This November we will be organising a Planning Training workshops, supporting local Parish Councils to take an active role in planning, helping to protect Staffordshire’s Greenfield land.
December
The festive season brings our annual celebration for our volunteers, with a Christmas lunch to celebrate the year’s successes, reflect and plan for 2027!
