Renewable energy is key to a thriving countryside.

CPRE wants to see a countryside that everyone can enjoy free from the effects of air pollution and climate breakdown. And this means getting more of our energy from wind, sunlight, and hydropower.

We want investment in renewables done in a way that benefits the rural economy; is supported by local communities; benefits wildlife; and minimises impacts on landscape, tranquillity and cultural heritage.
